"Geologist-CEO building the Águilas copper project in Spain; long-running Metals Investor Forum presenter on European copper exploration"

Mining Executive

Biography

Tim Moody is President, CEO and a director of Pan Global Resources Inc. (TSXV: PGZ | OTCQX: PGZFF), a Vancouver-based junior exploration company — a small, early-stage resource firm funded through equity markets — working in Spain. He is the geologist-operator behind the company's flagship Águilas copper project in Córdoba province, roughly 300 km south of Madrid, in the Iberian Pyrite Belt, one of Europe's most storied massive sulphide mining districts. Resource investors know him as the voice of that project at the Metals Investor Forum, where he has presented Pan Global's progress regularly since at least November 2019.

A professional geologist with more than three decades of mineral exploration experience, Moody has led Pan Global from an early-stage landholder to a company with a defined deposit. Under his tenure the company consolidated the Águilas property, ran successive drill campaigns on its El Cura deposit, and published a maiden mineral resource estimate in 2024 — a formally prepared calculation, under the NI 43-101 standard (Canada's rulebook for mineral disclosure), of how many tonnes a deposit holds and at what grade. Águilas is polymetallic, meaning the ore carries copper together with zinc, lead and silver, giving the project more than one potential source of revenue if it ever reaches a mine.

Moody's approach is cost discipline in a permitting-friendly jurisdiction. His thesis is straightforward: copper demand from electrification needs new supply, and Spain offers infrastructure, skilled labor and permitting conditions that lower the cost of taking a deposit to a development decision. Pan Global pairs historic mining records with modern geophysics and step-out drilling — drilling beyond the edge of a known deposit to test for extensions — along the Águilas trend, while keeping the share structure lean so that exploration success is not diluted away. The company also holds earlier-stage targets elsewhere in the belt.

Pan Global continues to advance El Cura and test new targets, and Moody remains a regular presenter at Metals Investor Forum events in Vancouver and Toronto. For investors, following him is a working education in European copper exploration: how a small company builds a resource step by step, how jurisdiction and infrastructure shape project economics, and how EU critical-raw-materials policy is changing the odds for new mines in Spain.

  • Top takeaway Argues Pan Global Resources is structurally undervalued at ~$0.21/share because the market is assigning almost no value to the new northern Spain gold discovery, and says that could change quickly as additional drill results arrive.
  • Frames the investment thesis around Spain as a tier-one mining jurisdiction — the second-largest copper producer in Europe with ~3,500 years of continuous mining — where existing rail, road, power infrastructure and a Freeport-owned smelter 70 km away keep the ESCA Center project's capex needs low.
  • Presents a scale-driven M&A angle: growing the ESCA Center resource from ~36 Mt to 100 Mt+ / 400,000 t of contained copper would shift the project from being a 'nice-to-have' for neighbouring majors to a 'must-have'.
  • Cites the attraction of a strategic investor — partly driven by the discovery potential that led to the land-tender win — as external validation of the exploration thesis at both the southern copper project and the new northern gold discovery.

Pan Global flagship southern Spain copper project anchors a 36Mt maiden resource, with metallurgy producing a premium concentrate that needs 40% fewer trucks than Atalaya operation. A northern Spain gold find - 83m at 1.7 g/t and 15m at 3.9 g/t - opens a second project with 25 untested targets and no prior gold known in the area. Tripling the southern land package through a public tender beat two major producers and unlocked 15 drill-ready targets near the La Romana deposit. Over $10M cash and a 20,000m drill program funded into next year back a growth plan that drew a strategic investor onboard. Analysts have price targets between $0.48 and $0.80 versus a roughly $0.21 share price, with no value yet assigned to the gold project.
