Thomas Parilla
President | Parilla Investment Group | Gold & Silver Market Commentator
"Gold and silver market commentary grounded in two decades on Wall Street — central bank buying, US debt, and jurisdiction-first junior mining analysis."
Biography
Thomas Parilla is president of Parilla Investment Group and a Wall Street veteran who has focused on the mining sector for roughly the past decade, mainly in North America. For resource investors, his value is the pairing of a monetary big picture — central bank gold buying, US debt, and currency debasement — with company-level criteria such as jurisdiction (where a project sits and how its rules, taxes, and permitting treat miners) and capital discipline. In August 2026 he joined the investorTV panel "Gold & Silver in Focus" alongside the CEOs of Toogood Gold, Dryden Gold, Silver Viper Minerals, and Aftermath Silver.
Parilla spent more than two decades in financial services. He began his career at Morgan Stanley and later served as a Series 24 principal — a General Securities Principal, licensed to supervise a brokerage's securities business — at National City Bank, with a background in domestic and international investment banking. He turned that experience toward mining about ten years ago and has since become a frequent guest on mining and precious metals programs, including the Exploring Mining Podcast, WTFinance, Triangle Investor, and Wall Street Bullion. In 2024 he joined InvestorIdeas' Golden Triangle panel with the heads of Goliath Resources and Juggernaut Exploration, and Goliath has described him as an investor in the company, a gold explorer in northwestern British Columbia.
His approach starts with the macro case: central banks buying gold, growing US debt with shrinking demand to finance it, and an eventual return to quantitative easing (central bank bond purchases that expand the money supply), which he expects to erode the dollar. At the company level he screens juniors on jurisdiction, resource quality, financing and burn rate (how quickly a company spends its cash), and near-term milestones such as drill results that can re-rate a stock. He applies the same test to the metal itself: in a 2025 interview reported by The Jerusalem Post, he said he holds about 90% of his own investments in physical gold and silver, arguing there is "no good safe bet in paper money."
In 2026 his attention has centered on silver. On Wall Street Bullion in September 2026 he argued that a silver breakout may be closer than most investors expect, citing physical demand, metals flows, and inflation pressure; on Triangle Investor in March 2026 he made the case that the paper-versus-physical disconnect, central bank buying, and a long-term silver supply deficit keep the precious metals bull market intact through corrections. Followers get a repeatable framework: how monetary conditions, jurisdiction, and financing access interact to drive junior mining performance into 2027.
Limits worth knowing: Parilla Investment Group is a private firm that discloses little about its holdings, so his interviews are the main public record of his views, and his price forecasts are his own. Treat them as one input among many rather than a complete research process.
