Fund Manager

Biography

Tomasz Nadrowski is co-founder and portfolio manager of the Amvest Terraden Critical Minerals Fund, a New York-based strategy within Amvest Capital. The fund takes equity positions in companies across the Western critical minerals supply chain, from explorers and developers to miners and midstream processors (the companies that turn mined concentrate into refined, usable metal). He is also the author of Mineral War: China's Quest for Weapons of Mineral Destruction (January 2026), and the book's core argument — that mineral supply is now decided by processing and policy as much as by geology — drives how he invests.

Nadrowski has spent more than 25 years in mining investments. Before co-founding Amvest Terraden, he was portfolio manager for Anholt, a Connecticut family office, and earlier served as commodity strategist at Doyen Capital in London, portfolio manager at De Gouden Eeuw, a long/short gold fund in the Netherlands, and commodity analyst at Round Table Investment Management, a multi-strategy hedge fund in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was Vice President of Corporate Development at AngloGold Ashanti in Johannesburg when it was the world's largest gold mining company, and he began his career at the World Economic Forum, where he started as China Coordinator and became a Director. He is a CFA charterholder, holds an MPA and an MA in Japanese (cognitive semantics) from the University of Geneva, and is fluent in seven languages.

His approach starts with geopolitics. Mineral War argues that China used its dominance in mineral production and processing to control entire value chains, and that Western governments are responding with price floors, export controls, and direct funding — forces that can move mining equities as much as any drill result. Interviewing with Bill Powers on Mining Stock Education in August 2026, he unpacked the White House mining roundtable, the announced $2 billion-plus in critical mining projects, and the $180 million pledged to mining schools, then connected each to what investors should watch: how funding gets chosen, offtake agreements (contracts to buy a mine's future output) that can fall through, and government due diligence.

The practical takeaway for investors: Nadrowski translates policy headlines into portfolio consequences, with particular attention to midstream processing, metallurgy, and jurisdictions like Greenland. He appears regularly on mining podcasts and conference panels, including Mining Stock Daily and the GCFF Virtual 2026 Critical Minerals Conference, hosts the Tyranny Today podcast, and serves as a director at Anu Energy OEIC Ltd. Following him is a way to track the intersection of statecraft and mining stocks as the West rebuilds its critical minerals supply chain.
