President & CEO | ICG Silver & Gold Ltd. (CSE: ICG) | Capital markets veteran advancing Nevada's Tuscarora silver-gold district

"Leading ICG Silver & Gold's district-scale Tuscarora silver-gold play in Nevada after a mining capital markets career"

Mining Executive

Biography

Steven Sirbovan is the President, CEO, and a director of ICG Silver & Gold Ltd. (CSE: ICG), a junior explorer built around one asset: the Tuscarora District, a roughly 10,000-acre silver-gold land package in Elko County, Nevada, about an hour northwest of Elko on the Carlin Trend — one of the world's most prolific gold belts. He negotiated the December 2025 deal that gave ICG 100% of the district, took the company public on the Canadian Securities Exchange in March 2026, and now directs the exploration that will determine what the ground is worth. For resource investors, he runs one of the newest pure-plays on epithermal (near-surface, hot-fluid) silver-gold exploration in Nevada.

Sirbovan came to mining leadership through capital markets. Across more than 13 years in investment banking, private equity, and corporate development, he served as a Director of Investment Banking at Echelon Capital Markets (now Ventum Financial), where he co-led the origination group and executed financings and M&A transactions worth roughly C$500 million. Earlier, he worked on the investment origination team at Waterton Global Resource Management, a mining-focused private equity firm, evaluating projects across Nevada and Arizona — the jurisdictional experience ICG cites as the foundation for its Nevada focus. He is also the founder of Blink Capital Corp., a Toronto-based merchant bank, led multiple reverse takeovers and oversubscribed financings in 2021 and 2022, and is a graduate of the Ivey Business School at Western University.

The Tuscarora deal shows that side of his record. ICG bought 100% of the Tuscarora and Danny Boy projects from American Pacific Mining for 11.5 million ICG shares plus US$5 million payable at commercial production, funded the plan with an approximately C$2.8 million financing at $0.35 per share, and listed on the Canadian Securities Exchange on March 31, 2026; U.S. over-the-counter quotation (cleared through FINRA's Form 211 process) and DTC eligibility followed.

His method at Tuscarora is consolidation before drilling. ICG inherited six decades of historical work — more than 25,000 meters of reverse circulation (RC) and core drilling, over 3,200 soil samples, and more than 125 line-kilometers of CSAMT geophysics (a survey method that maps rock conductivity at depth) — and the stated plan is to fuse that data into a district-scale geological model, then drill the best targets. The roughly 3,000-meter Phase 1 program completed in 2026 produced early validation: hole T26RC-04 at the Battle Mountain target, on ground staked through a roughly 2,000-acre land expansion, cut 24.3 meters averaging 10.14 g/t gold (grams per tonne), including 4.6 meters at 51.84 g/t.

ICG listed in March 2026, so Sirbovan's record as a public-company CEO is short, and Battle Mountain is one drill hole, not a resource. Investors can track concrete markers: follow-up drilling at Battle Mountain, updates to the district-scale model, and progress toward a first mineral resource estimate — a formal, rules-based tally of the metal in the ground. What separates him from many junior-company leaders is the financing background: a career spent structuring and closing resource financings matters for a company that funds exploration from the market.

How ICG Silver & Gold Plans to Make It In a Crowded Market

  • Top takeaway The CEO argues that delivering a first mineral resource at Tuscarora in Q1 2027 is the milestone that will set ICG apart in a crowded Nevada exploration and development market.
  • He argues ICG's roughly $15 million market cap, trading near its go-public price, understates the company versus resource-stage comparables he cites at 90-100 million or more, with catalysts due within 3 to 9 months.
  • He prioritizes Silica and Battle Mountain because they host historical drilling where he wants to define structural continuity, while treating Kings Vane, Grand Prize and East Pediment as more exploratory targets.
  • He frames the long-term goal as growing the mineralized inventory to 1.5-2 million ounces at good grade, building shareholder value beyond the initial resource.
  • He argues that acquiring available ground around Tuscarora can add ounces without drilling, since the company's historical database extends past 80,000 meters of drilling, some of it on ground ICG does not control.

A 3,000-meter RC (reverse circulation) drill program is testing six targets at ICG's Tuscarora silver-gold project, with 80% of spending on the central zone. The CEO targets a maiden (first) mineral resource in Q1 2027, built on a 40,000-meter database of historical drilling. ICG's land package grew from 8,000 to over 10,000 acres after a March spinout from American Pacific, reaching district scale in the Tuscarora district. The CEO argues its cash balance funds near-term catalysts within 3-9 months, while the $15 million market cap trails comparable companies with resources. Assay (lab test) results should start arriving in late August as the CEO eyes building 1.5 to 2 million ounces in Nevada.

Key Quotes

"We are grateful for the vast amount of work that the American Pacific team and previous operators have done to bring the Tuscarora District to the advanced stage it is today. The abundance of quality data has provided us with a strong foundation to create a comprehensive geological, district-scale model, which will set us up to explore the extent of our land package for silver and gold, and eventually advance the project toward a first mineral resource estimate."

— News release on completion of ICG's plan of arrangement to acquire the Tuscarora District from American Pacific Mining, March 25, 2026

"a significant result for ICG and an important validation of our approach at Tuscarora"
