Robert Cameron
Chief Executive Officer | Enduro Metals Corporation | P.Geo., 40+ years in copper-gold exploration
"Veteran exploration geologist (P.Geo.) leading Enduro Metals' Newmont Lake project in the Golden Triangle; former CEO of Valley High Ventures during the Cordero silver discovery."
Biography
Robert Cameron, P.Geo. (a registered Professional Geoscientist in British Columbia), is a Canadian exploration geologist and Chief Executive Officer of Enduro Metals Corporation (TSX-V: ENDR), the junior explorer advancing the roughly 688 km2 Newmont Lake Project in British Columbia's Golden Triangle. The property sits in the same northwest BC district as Eskay Creek and Snip, two of the province's best-known high-grade precious metal mines. Investors follow Cameron for a straightforward reason: a geologist with more than 40 years in copper, gold, and nickel exploration now runs a district-scale project there full time.
Cameron's career includes senior industry roles such as manager of exploration in Canada for Freeport-McMoRan, the international copper and gold producer, and a stint as a mining analyst with Research Capital. As President and CEO of Valley High Ventures, he led the company during the Cordero silver discovery in Chihuahua, Mexico; Levon Resources completed its takeover of Valley High in March 2011, a transaction Enduro's corporate biography values at $130 million. He then served nearly a decade as President and CEO of Commander Resources, a Canadian project generator whose assets included a stake in the South Voisey's Bay nickel-copper-cobalt project in Labrador. In June 2025, Enduro Metals completed its acquisition of Commander and appointed Cameron Chief Executive Officer.
His approach is systematic porphyry exploration — the search for porphyry copper-gold systems, the large deposit style that supplies most of the world's copper — built on holding big land positions, running geophysics and geochemistry to rank targets, and drilling in stages. At Newmont Lake, that work defined the Andrei target along a geophysical and geochemical trend more than four kilometres long. Results from 351 rock samples collected in the 2025 field season confirmed a large, newly recognized porphyry copper-gold system at Andrei, with high-grade grab samples up to 113 g/t gold at the Camp Zone. Cameron signs off on Enduro's technical disclosure as a qualified person under NI 43-101, the Canadian standard governing exploration reporting.
Under his leadership Enduro completed its first-ever drill program at Andrei — about 3,000 metres in mid-2026 — and has outlined follow-up work, so Newmont Lake offers investors a live case study in how an experienced geologist converts early-stage targets into drill tests. Cameron discusses the program in interviews such as CEO.CA's Inside the Boardroom, where his commentary on drilling plans and assay timelines reflects a career spent managing exactly those risks.

Inaugural Drilling Complete: Enduro Metals Prepares for Fall Assay Results
- Top takeaway Top point: he argues the first pass at Andre is encouraging but early, stressing that only about 4 km of a 14 km trend has been tested and that the rest of the season's work is about documenting the remainder and converting it into future targets rather than claiming a discovery.
- He is deliberately conservative on timing, saying the labs have not given a date and are heavily backed up, so results should realistically land around mid-fall 2026.
- He ranks targets by drillability as well as geology — Burgundy and the 72 zone are high-elevation, rugged and challenging, while Andre is low-elevation and easier, and Camp Zone is easier still — and says that risk ranking is what shifts his priorities.
- He justifies returning to the Burgundy target despite its difficult location because the geology resembles nearby Galore Creek, because copper and gold prices have accelerated, and because he calls it a standout discovery that was never followed up.
- He attributes his attraction to Newmont Lake to the project's size, its copper-gold porphyry potential demonstrated by Burgundy, and its Golden Triangle setting, which he calls one of the top porphyry copper-gold jurisdictions in North America, with the KSM project, Glor Creek and the Red Chris mine nearby.
Under new management from the 2025 Commander Resources merger, Enduro Metals wrapped up its inaugural seven-hole drill program at Andrei. First-pass core shows porphyry indicators, the large copper-gold deposit style sought here, plus epithermal alteration in two other holes. The 2021 Burgundy discovery — 331 meters at 0.36 gold and 0.29 copper — is being revisited as copper and gold prices climb. A gold system dormant since 1987 at Camp Zone returned roughly 110 grams over six centimeters and needs systematic work-up. Cameron expects assays mid-to-late fall while IP geophysics, mapping conductive ground, extends the 14-kilometer trend drilled over just four kilometers.
Enduro Metals is Drilling Soon in the Heart of the Golden Triangle
- Top takeaway Cameron, Enduro Metals' CEO, is staking the company's year on the Andre discovery - a 4.5-kilometre coincident mag and IP anomaly with a blind, never-drilled core - and aims to have drills turning by July 1, 2026.
- He leans on surface evidence to justify the drill campaign: retreating glaciers first exposed copper-mineralized bedrock in 2021, and 25% of the prior year's rock samples ran above 0.1% copper on the anomaly flanks.
- He argues the target's location is a key advantage - about 600 metres elevation, forgiving topography, and roughly 14 kilometres from road access - allowing an earlier start than higher-elevation Golden Triangle projects.
- On funding, he points to an oversubscribed raise of just over $8 million, with about $6.3 million of flow-through dedicated to Newmont Lake, supporting a roughly $3.5 million phase one that can expand given results.
- He flags September weather and rig/contractor availability as the main risks to completing the season's program.
Enduro Metals closed an oversubscribed over $8 million brokered financing, with $6.3 million of it flow-through money committed to Newmont Lake. The maiden drill campaign will test the Andre discovery, a 4.5-kilometre mag and IP anomaly that has never been drilled. Copper-gold porphyry targets sit at low elevation with road access 14 kilometres away, more forgiving than typical Golden Triangle ground. CEO Robert Cameron points to a career focused on porphyry copper-gold systems and past discoveries as the team's targeting credential. Drilling is targeted to begin by July 1 and run through the summer, with weather and rig availability the main variables.
