Biography

Nick Nikolakakis is the Chief Financial Officer of Arizona Sonoran Copper Company Inc. (TSX: ASCU | OTCQX: ASCUF), bringing over 27 years of corporate finance, accounting, and senior management experience within the mining sector. Throughout his career, Nikolakakis has established himself as a seasoned financial leader, having raised over US$2 billion across numerous mining transactions—a track record that speaks to his deep understanding of capital markets and resource project financing.

Prior to joining Arizona Sonoran Copper, Nikolakakis held the position of Vice President of Corporate Finance at Barrick Gold Corporation, one of the world's largest gold mining companies. His tenure at Barrick provided him with firsthand experience navigating the financial complexities of major mining operations, from M&A activity to capital allocation in both precious and base metals. This background gives him a unique perspective on what it takes to finance and develop significant copper assets in today's market.

Nikolakakis holds an MBA from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering from the University of Waterloo. His engineering foundation, combined with his financial acumen, positions him as an executive who can bridge the technical and commercial sides of mining project development—a valuable combination for investors evaluating the credibility of a company's leadership team.

At Arizona Sonoran Copper, Nikolakakis plays a central role in financing the development of the Cactus and Parks/Salyer copper deposits located in Arizona. The company is advancing a significant copper resource in a tier-one mining jurisdiction at a time when copper supply is increasingly critical to the global energy transition.
