Carl Löfberg

Carl Löfberg is the co-founder, President, and CEO of FireFox Gold Corp. (FFOX on the TSX Venture Exchange), a junior explorer that works exclusively in Finland. That focus is why resource investors watch him: since 2017 he has built the company around the Mustajärvi gold project in the Central Lapland Greenstone Belt, where FireFox is drilling toward a maiden mineral resource estimate (the first formal, standards-compliant tally of how much gold a project holds) targeted for early 2027.

Löfberg is an economist by training, not a geologist. He holds an MSc in Industrial Economics and describes himself as a precious metals investor with a specialty in hard currency and contrarian business strategy. Since 2006 he has been Managing Director of Magnus Minerals, a Finnish prospect generator, and he was a founding member of FinnAust Mining plc, an AIM-listed exploration venture built around a joint venture with Australian nickel miner Western Areas. He co-founded FireFox Gold in 2017 and has led it as chief executive ever since.

His record at FireFox is measured in drill metres. FireFox has now drilled more than 28,000 metres at Mustajärvi, tracing gold across more than two kilometres of strike in the East, Northeast, and Central zones — including 14.1 metres grading 4.32 g/t (grams per tonne) gold, a 1.0-metre intercept of 124 g/t, and a new Lammas Zone discovery with 21.0 metres at 4.13 g/t. The 2025-26 program also opened the nearby Sarvi project, where the first holes returned 1.75 metres at 27.48 g/t gold. FireFox owns both projects outright.

His approach mirrors his background. Löfberg concentrates capital on a small number of 100%-owned projects in a country he chose for its mining law and underexplored geology, pairs a Finland-based technical team with Canadian capital-markets access, and funds steady, sequential drilling programs rather than scattered one-off targets. Each campaign is designed to add definition at Mustajärvi and move the project measurably closer to a resource.

The near-term markers for investors are clear: the maiden Mustajärvi resource expected in early 2027, follow-up drilling at Sarvi, and Löfberg's regular interviews — including KE Report updates — where he explains the exploration logic behind each round of results in plain terms.
