CEO & Director | CopAur Minerals Inc. | Advancing the Kinsley Mountain Gold Project toward restart in Nevada

"Leading the restart case for Nevada's past-producing Kinsley Mountain gold mine, from a 52% mineral resource estimate growth to a filed Plan of Operations."

Biography

Andrew Neale is the Chief Executive Officer and a director of CopAur Minerals Inc. (TSXV: CPAU), the Vancouver-based company advancing the 100%-owned Kinsley Mountain Gold Project in Nevada toward a potential restart. Kinsley Mountain is a past-producing open-pit mine in Elko County that yielded roughly 138,000 ounces of oxide gold from 1995 to 1999, and CopAur is working to put it back into production. For gold investors tracking Nevada developers, Neale is the executive setting that schedule: a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA — an early-stage study of a project's economic potential) was delivered in May 2026, and a preliminary Plan of Operations was filed with US land managers in August 2026.

He is a mining executive with more than 35 years of international experience spanning exploration through engineering, construction, and operations. Neale oversaw large-scale copper and gold operations at Freeport-McMoRan's Grasberg mine in Indonesia and held senior roles at Hemco Nicaragua, Merdeka Copper & Gold, and Bumi Resources Minerals, later consulting on technical and financial matters for international investment funds. He was appointed CopAur's CEO in September 2025. Since then the company has grown Kinsley Mountain's mineral resource estimate by 52%, to 742,000 indicated ounces at 1.11 g/t (grams of gold per tonne), including 384,000 indicated ounces at a high-grade 5.32 g/t in the Secret Canyon zone, and filed the supporting technical report in July 2026.

Trained as a mineral processing engineer, with a master's and a bachelor's degree in the discipline from the University of Alberta plus a BSc from the University of British Columbia, Neale targets previously producing assets in established jurisdictions where near-surface oxide gold — mineralization recoverable with conventional low-cost leaching rather than costlier processing — supports a modest-capital restart. The 2026 PEA frames Kinsley Mountain at about 30,000 ounces of annual production over its first four years starting in the first half of 2028, with US$81.8 million of pre-production capital and an AISC (All-In Sustaining Cost — the full per-ounce cost of mining, processing, and sustaining the operation) of US$1,861 per ounce. His stated approach is to advance permitting while evaluating optimizations as part of a potential prefeasibility study. CopAur also holds the Troy Canyon project in Nevada and the Williams property in British Columbia.

Following Neale gives investors a running view of what a Nevada oxide-gold restart actually involves: drilling that grows resources, permitting milestones such as the August 2026 Plan of Operations, and the financings that fund each step, including an equity financing of up to $3 million announced in September 2026. He presents Kinsley updates at investor conferences, and CopAur publishes news releases, presentations, and project details at copaur.com.

  • Top takeaway Neal argues the Kinsley Gold Project carries significant resource upside
  • He views the updated geological model as evidence of further expansion potential
  • He maintains a constructive outlook on pending drilling results at Kinsley

Copaur Minerals' Kinsley gold project shows resource upside beyond the originally envisioned small operation. An updated geological model has grown the project's resource base before any new drilling has been done. Andrew Neal frames remaining upside as contingent on drilling the team has not yet completed.

52% Increase in Gold Resources | Andrew Neal - Copaur Minerals Inc.

  • Top takeaway Andrew Neal frames the updated mineral resource estimate as a positive for the company, emphasizing the 52% uplift over the prior 2021 estimate.
  • He credits drilling carried out in 2020 and 2023 with sharpening the geological model and the company's structural understanding of the property.
  • He identifies the project as a carbonate-hosted sedimentary system.
  • He notes the updated estimate has been incorporated into the technical report.

CopAur Minerals posted a 52% increase in contained gold ounces versus the prior 2021 mineral resource estimate. Combined indicated and inferred ounces now sit near 800,000, up from roughly 500,000 previously. The update folds in drilling from 2020 and 2023, both designed to sharpen the structural geology model. The deposit sits in a carbonate-hosted sedimentary system, a class of gold occurrences shaped by structural geology.
